Ohmsett – The National Oil Spill Research & Renewable Energy Test Facility

PO Box 150, Leonardo, New Jersey 07737, United States

Business Details

Ohmsett - The National Oil Spill Response Research & Renewable Energy Test Facility is a wave and tow test tank designed to evaluate the performance of equipment under environmentally safe conditions. We help manufacturers validate engineering expectations for their products under varying flow, position and load conditions, enabling them to improve their design cycles. Ohmsett is a controlled repeatable test setting for evaluating prototype designs in a simulated marine environment to determine conformance to surface wave conditions for various wave heights, wavelengths and frequencies (qualitatively), and general durability. Our background in offering independent, objective performance testing of skimming systems, sensors, containment booms and barriers, as well as wave energy converters enables us to provide a platform for marine technology developers to validate their prototypes and obtain quantitative data.
