Take Part in BGS Seabed and Lakebed Coring & Drilling Survey

British Geological Survey (BGS) have launched a survey to gather information from the science community on their requirements for coring and drilling in marine and lake environments.

The survey is open to all scientists and researchers, both within BGS and externally, who might need to obtain cores from more than 1m below the seabed or lakebed, or drill more than 1 meter into the seabed or lakebed.

BGS will use the results to help develop their Marine Operations services and activities to ensure they can continue to meet scientists’ needs.

If you think you might need to obtain cores or drill into the seabed for scientific purposes then please take the time to give your input. The survey should take 10 – 15 minutes to complete and it will be open until the Monday 31st August.

If you have any questions about the survey then please contact Oliver Peppe at BGS.

Take part in the survey here.
