The Sustainable Business Awards 2020/2021 was held on 7 December 2021 to commend companies who are making a difference to the society and environment. A total of 24 companies clinched awards spanning across 12 pillars of sustainability.

Launched in 2018, BAMBOOLOO® is a main pillar of The Nurturing Co™.’s product line-up. BAMBOOLOO, Singapore’s first next-generation, 100% sustainable homecare brand with 100% plastic-free packaging is on a mission to get corporates and consumers to play their part in contributing to a greener society. Driven by purpose and focused on insightful innovation, BAMBOOLOO aims to create a greener tomorrow, where corporations and consumers can make more informed decisions that create a lasting positive impact. Between 2020 and 2024, through the planned expansion and growth strategy the company has, BAMBOOLOO projects that its customers will help to save over 3 billion litres of water, 5 billion litres of carbon and 7 million sqm of plastic.

The award ceremony was graced by the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu. She addressed the upcoming carbon tax that will encourage companies to invest in decarbonisation technologies, harness green growth opportunities and develop more sustainable products and services.

“The public sector will lead the way with the GreenGov.SG initiative. As a major buyer of goods and services, Government agencies will purchase products that meet high resource-efficiency or sustainability standards. We will also progressively consider our service providers and suppliers' sustainability related policies when evaluating tenders.” mentioned Minister Grace Fu earlier this week when sharing about green procurement in Singapore.

The Nurturing Co aims to be on the forefront of the positive change in the public and private sector and is expanding its product offerings to enable offices to make a significant decrease in their carbon, water and plastic usage by simply switching out products like toilet paper, facial tissues, wipes and masks.

“As the world engages in a more serious conversation on sustainability and companies are actively making changes in reducing their carbon impact, we are thankful to be commended for our efforts and will continue to work to bring more sustainable alternatives for homes and offices and help individuals cut down on their carbon, water and plastic footprint.
