Job Opportunity: CEO to Take the Helm of Ireland's Marine Institute

We are now seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive to build on our track record of excellent performance and to drive the organisation forward towards the achievement of the ambitious goals set out in our Strategic Plan 2018-2022, Building Ocean Knowledge - Delivering Ocean Services.

The incoming Chief Executive will be crucial to the continued success of the Marine Institute in delivering our vision of being a global leader in ocean knowledge, empowering Ireland and its people to safeguard and harness ocean wealth.

As Chief Executive with the resources and influence to effect change, you will set the future strategic direction for the Marine Institute. This will include providing inspirational direction for the organisation and leadership to senior managers, staff, the Board and its Committees.

You will deliver a dynamic, effective and innovative strategic approach to the planning, management and provision of a range of national and international services. You will be working in collaboration with national and international partners to meet the needs of society and government and to influence change.

You will provide exemplary leadership to the organisation ensuring the Marine Institute is positioned as a significant, expert voice for the marine that delivers the services and science required to inform and influence the sustainable use of our oceans and further develop the understanding of our oceans and climate both nationally and internationally.
