NORTEK, a developer of acoustic instruments used to measure water velocities and waves in oceans, lakes, rivers, and laboratories, is seeking a sales person to introduce to the market the unique and significant subsea navigation capabilities available to them with our new Doppler Velocity Log (DVL).
A global company with offices in Oslo, Norway, Boston, MA, Southampton, UK, Toulon, France, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Qindao, China, and Tokyo, Japan, Nortek has expanded the research and measurement possibilities of scientists and engineers for 20 years with breakthrough developments and several patented processes.
The salesperson will be responsible for putting the power of the DVL in new North American users’ hands and will have the support of the most talented engineering team in the industry to assist them in tackling new and challenging applications.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience that includes:
- Five years selling subsea engineering instrumentation in a commercial or military setting
- Calling on scientists, engineers, and senior sales or marketing executives
- Familiarity with markets such as: vehicle manufacturers, leasing companies, system integrators, service companies, governments and militaries
- Knowledge of subsea technology, including the areas of navigation, survey, inspection, ROV, AUV, INS and DVL
Additional experience should include strong capabilities in the areas of:
- Prospecting for new business
- Relaying complex technical information
- Distinguishing a product from an established competitor
- Communicating the value proposition
- Presenting to: technical audiences at conferences, customers at their places of business, or small workshops
The salesperson will be expected to:
- Develop and conduct instructional workshops highlighting DVL performance, capability and applications
- Demonstrate the product in water
- Be a US citizen
