Ocean Career: Marine Stewardship Council Senior Fisheries Outreach Manager

Are you passionate about our oceans? Are you used to working closely with French fisheries stakeholders?

If you are keen to promote ocean sustainability and can represent the MSC program and engage others to support, this may be the role for you!

The MSC French team is currently seeking a Senior Fisheries Outreach Manager to join their team. You will manage the Outreach activities toward fisheries in France, to support the retention and growth of the MSC program and mission in France. You’ll be working closely with the French Program Director and French team as well as their colleagues worldwide to increase understanding and awareness of the MSC Program and actions to a wide range of stakeholders in France, from the fishing sector to scientists and environmental groups.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated individual with a background in a sustainability or environmental discipline, or an area of relevance to our operational processes or systems. You will also have:

  • Extensive knowledge of the French fishing industry, fisheries management, fisheries science, conservation issues, and the seafood industry
  • Experience in successfully engaging with a wide range of different stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven team management and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
