The Atlas of Submarine Glacial Landforms presents a comprehensive series of contributions by leading researchers from many countries that describe, discuss and illustrate landforms on the high latitude, glacier-influenced seafloor. Included are submarine glacial landforms from modern, Quaternary and ancient glacimarine environments.

AIS is a shipboard broadcast system that acts like a transponder, operating in the VHF maritime band, that is capable of handling well over 4,500 reports per minute and updates as often as every two seconds. It uses Self-Organizing Time Division Multiple Access (SOTDMA) technology to meet this high broadcast rate and ensure reliable ship-to-ship operation.

On April 3, the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center launched the Vessel Information Verification Service (VIVS), a new online tool designed to allow commercial vessel operators and owners to verify the accuracy of their Automatic Identification System broadcasts.

The Cable Retrieval Tool (CRT200), developed in consultation with international certification body and classification society, DNVGL, allows the safe and controlled recovery of damaged cable and umbilical.

Integral is leveraging a new Spotter buoy platform developed by Spoondrift and supported in part by Integral’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) funding, to enable wave characterization around wave energy devices.

Under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Water Power Technologies Office, science and engineering company Integral Consulting Inc. (Integral) is developing novel acoustic monitoring tools for wave and tidal energy projects.
