Info Sought for the 5-Year Review for the North Pacific Right Whale

NMFS has announced a 5-year review of the North Pacific right whale (Eubalaena japonica) under the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (ESA), as amended. NMFS request submission of any scientific and commercial information on these whales that has become available since the last status review in 2012.

Right whales are the rarest of all large whale species and among the rarest of all marine mammal species. North Pacific right whales inhabit the Pacific Ocean, particularly between 20° and 60° latitude.
