TechWorks Marine announced that they are undertaking an ESA InCubed funded project, CoastEO.
They are working to create a highly versatile information platform which facilitates easy access to in-situ coastal water measurements and associated validated satellite Earth Observation (EO) products. This service brings together our portable and easily deployable MiniBuoy system and validated satellite data processing methods in order to reliably monitor and manage a wide range of marine and freshwater environments.
The aim of CoastEO is to develop an integrated coastal monitoring service by incorporating reliable in-situ measurements and validated satellite EO data. This service will be adaptable to your needs depending on what parameters you need measured (e.g. Turbidity/Temperature/Chl-a), deployment methods required and geographic coverage.
TechWorks Marine’s goals are to mitigate the common issues of cost and coverage restrictions surrounding coastal and marine monitoring and provide you with the most robust data for your monitoring needs. Their MiniBuoy (1.23m in height) can be easily deployed in coastal and freshwater environments and will immediately start transmitting real-time data. With the application of dedicated processing chains in the background, you will have access to near real time in-situ and satellite end products tailored to your requirements. This provides a cost-effective means of monitoring your area of water over time, reduces your need to conduct labour intensive sampling and allows you to view live water quality data via a friendly secure web portal.
To allow them to incorporate key requirements, gather expert recommendations and identify potential users for the provision of reliable and robust marine and freshwater data, TechWorks Marine have created a short research survey.
They would greatly appreciate just 10 minutes of your time to complete the online form.
