Briggs Marine Announces Attendance at Ocean Business 2021

The company will demonstrate the capabilities of coastal survey vessel Solent Guardian, provided as a demonstration platform for aae technologies

Briggs Marine, a world leader in the provision of marine and environmental services, announces it will be exhibiting at Ocean Business 2021, the ocean technology exhibition and training forum.

As Briggs continues to grow its involvement in the surveys market as a trusted vessel operator, Ocean Business offers Briggs an excellent opportunity to meet with members of the marine sciences community, to which it can provide vessel services such as charter, fleet management and survey delivery. At the exhibition, Briggs will showcase the Solent Guardian, its 18.3m coastal survey vessel, as the ideal platform for aae technologies to demonstrate their equipment. Solent Guardian can hold two crew members and up to 10 scientific officers. The demos will not only provide exhibition attendees the opportunity to see aae technologies equipment in action, it will also give a hands-on view of the Solent Guardian’s capabilities and facilities.

Across the three days, Briggs hopes to engage with attendees to discuss their vessel requirements. Of particular interest to attendees will be its fleet of dedicated, purpose-built, survey vessels, that are easy to mobilise for a wide range of operations. Their shallow draft means they can be used for nearshore work such as cable inspection and landfall surveys. Additionally, Briggs can provide its fleet of workboats for heavier geotechnical work or oceanographic deployments.

The company will also be exhibiting alongside demo partner aae technologies, which specialises in the design and development of a wide range of subsea navigation, positioning and marine seismic survey products. The company will demonstrate how its subsea equipment and innovative technology works onboard the Solent Guardian.

Hollie Moran, Sales and Marketing Manager at aae technologies comments: “Ocean Business is an important event for us to showcase our products and meet with a very relevant audience. We chose to partner up with Briggs and charter the Solent Guardian as she is a coastal survey vessel, offering the perfect platform to showcase our newly launched, state of the art integrated INS + USBL positioning system, Pyxis.”

Rob Baker, Group General Manager at Briggs Marine comments: “We look forward to working alongside aae technologies, and meeting with members of the marine services community to share a better understanding of what Briggs can offer in terms of vessel services and survey work. Our focus is delivering successful projects for companies, and that starts with developing relationships with crucial suppliers and customers and increasing our presence in the marine services industry.”
