Job Opportunity: Environmental Scientist

Location: Vancouver, WA

BergerABAM has an immediate need for a skilled entry to mid-level environmental professional in either our Vancouver or Federal Way offices to provide services in developing solutions and documentation for environmental and regulatory projects.

 

The successful candidate will have practical scientific expertise and knowledge of ecology, biology, and permitting for in-water projects (port/waterfront/marine terminals) and/or transportation projects (federal, state, and local infrastructure) with experience in the following: Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, Clean Water Act, National and Washington State Environmental Policy act compliance, wetland delineation and assessment, biological assessment preparation, mitigation/restoration site design and critical area assessment and permitting.

The position requires a knowledge of federal, state (Washington and/or Oregon), and local environmental regulations and experience in evaluating projects and drafting permit documents and reports. The position is responsible for completing project tasks and interacting with regulatory staff. Experience or desire to conduct client/business development and maintenance is preferred but not required. The position will involve field visits to evaluate site conditions, report preparation and client communication.
