MacArtney’s Dutch Subsidiary Marks 20 Years of Existence and Business Development

The setting-up of MacArtney Benelux twenty years ago represented a developing commitment by the MacArtney Group to fully support the challenging Dutch and Belgian markets.

MacArtney Benelux is part of the global MacArtney Underwater Technology Group specialising in the design, manufacture, sale and after-sales service of systems to offshore oil and gas, renewable energy industries, ocean science institutes, survey and subsea contractors, civil engineering customers and navies.

Possessing vast engineering competences, the company manufactures state-of-the-art products, fully integrated systems and innovative custom solutions, from design to installation. All designed and tested to perform in challenging underwater environments, and supported by training, after-sales service and local workshops.

MacArtney Benelux BV was founded on September 1st 1998 and headed by Ron Voerman, who still sustains his position as Managing Director. The company started up in a modest office at the home address of Ron Voerman with no other staff.

Today, MacArtney Benelux has grown larger. Ron Voerman runs an efficient operation with 26 employees in modern administration and technical facilities conveniently located in Rotterdam-Hoogvliet. MacArtney Benelux houses an experienced sales staff as well as trained technical and administrative staff.

Apart from the broad range of underwater technology products for the subsea and offshore markets, the company specialises in: products for fishery, deep sea mining, light and camera systems, inspection, moulding, installing cables/connectors on board/location, developing dedicated moulding processes to assembly, complete electrical systems including PCBs, sensors and connectors. MacArtney Benelux also develop a special PU material for customer applications, where each individual material has a special set of required properties making it the unique solution for its intended use.

The direct contact between customer engineers and MacArtney’s consultative engineer teams is a huge contributing factor to the success of a project, says Managing Director Ron Voerman and goes on: 40 years the MacArtney Group and 20 years MacArtney Benelux; I’m proud of what we have done, proud of what we have achieved so far and proud of the team I work with every day.

The MacArtney Underwater Technology Group is dedicated to maintaining a strong global presence. With 20 Group operations supplemented by a distributor network of 24 companies spread across the world, MacArtney solutions are always available locally - with full global support.
