New 19” LCD Monitor Solves 4:3 Aspect Ratio Needs

TRU-Vu Monitors, a leading supplier of industrial-grade LCD monitors and touch screens, has announced the release of a new 19” LCD monitor with 4:3 aspect ratio. This move is in stark contrast to the ongoing trend of discontinuing 4:3 aspect ratio monitors in favor of 16:9 widescreen models.

“There are literally thousands of legacy systems and applications still using 4:3 aspect ratio monitors and touch screens. Many cannot switch to 16:9 widescreen solutions due to physical space restrictions or existing content or software that is limited to 4:3. This was the driving force behind our decision to continue our development of new 4:3 aspect ratio monitors” stated Herb Ruterschmidt, President of TRU-Vu Monitors, Inc.

The new VMM-19U provides both new and legacy users the best of both worlds, as it features both analog (VGA and Composite BNC) and digital (HDMI) video inputs for maximum versatility. It also features a defect-free LCD panel, with no dead or bright pixels; 350 nits brightness; lockable on-screen display controls; and a full 3-Year Warranty.

The VMM-19U also offers our exclusive TRU-Tuff treatment, which ensures maximum resistance to shock and vibration, as well as the ability to automatically re-start and resume operation after any unexpected loss of power.

Other models in the VMM-19 Series family offer additional video inputs, operating temperatures of -22º to +185º F, steel and waterproof enclosures, Optical Bonding, 1,200 nits brightness, 24 VDC operation and more. TRU-Vu also offers 4:3 monitors with screen sizes from 8.4” to 17”.
