Ocean Infinity Collects Offshore Support Journal Award for Offshore Renewables Work

Marine technology and data specialist Ocean Infinity, has been awarded the Offshore Renewables Award announced last night at Riviera Maritime’s Annual Offshore Support Journal (OSJ) Awards.

OSJ’s prestigious Offshore Renewables Award honors a company, project or product that has made a significant contribution to the development of the offshore renewables market.

Ocean Infinity Commercial Director, Maxime Even, was delighted with the recognition that this award represents: “Ocean Infinity was established seven years ago with the firm belief that being net zero carbon is not about offsetting, but about prioritizing the reduction of emissions and limiting residual emissions. From the start we’ve been proud to support the growing renewables sector providing clean energy to millions of homes.

All parts of the offshore energy industry are striving for ways to lessen environmental impacts of their operations. Through the use of remote and robotic technology we’re transforming data acquisition and inspection operations to provide a low-emission, safer alternative for the offshore renewables sector.”

The offshore renewables industry, particularly the fast-growing deep water floating offshore windfarm sector, is set to have unprecedented levels of seabed data requirement in the next decade.

Having a large AUV fleet, with vehicles that can run for days, down to 6,000 m, while simultaneously collecting geophysical seabed data, Ocean Infinity is well placed to meet this demand head-on.

The company is also well-served in the line of ROVs, hybrid AUV/ROVs, and autonomous surface vessels from 8 m to lean crewed and uncrewed-capable clean ships up to 78 m, soon even larger.

Ocean Infinity's transformative ways of working were recently demonstrated in their remote operations conducted last year as part of the development of the Ossian Wind Farm, positioned off the east coast of Scotland. Through the execution of remote geotechnical work, and real-time remote data collection, Ocean Infinity exemplified a paradigm shift in the maritime industry. Their ability to execute complex tasks remotely not only enhanced efficiency but also underscored their dedication to sustainability and safety. By embracing transformative approaches, Ocean Infinity continues to redefine standards in offshore renewable energy development, setting a compelling example for the future of marine operations.
