On the MoS Way - the official digital multichannel platform about Motorways of the Sea which includes a website and social media channels, as well as thematic sections on specific European Projects - has been chosen as the reference portal for news about DocksTheFuture, the European Project that will define the Port of the Future.

DocksTheFuture has been selected by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) under Horizon 2020 Programme within “Smart, green and integrated transport” Challenge which includes areas such as aviation, infrastructure, green vehicles, Blue Growth as well as socio-economic and behavioral research and forward-looking activities for policy making.

It starts in January 2018 and to be coordinated by Circle, consulting firm for ports and logistics sector specialized in the analysis of processes and in the development of innovative automation solutions for the digitalization of the Supply Chain - DocksTheFuture, beneficiary by the European Commission of a contribution of about 1.2 million Euro, will define the Port of the Future, meant as a near future (2030) which should face challenges related to simplification and digitalization of processes, dredging, emission reduction, energy transition, electrification, smart grids, port-city interface and the use of renewable energy management.

The Project - providing also for a Communication and Dissemination Plan addressed to all TEN-T Core and Comprehensive Ports and main port stakeholder - will be reported on On the MoS Way portal and related social media channels through up-to-date information, suggestions and insights.
