Planet Ocean and OceanWise sign Licensed Partner Agreement

OceanWise and Planet Ocean, two major global players in marine environmental monitoring, have signed a partnership agreement to “improve capability, quality control and serviceability” for their customers. OceanWise specializes in marine data acquisition, data management and GIS and will now provide these services to compliment the Planet Ocean range of data buoy systems, as well as its RADAC wave radar telemetry used in the offshore oil and gas and renewable sectors.

The agreement means that users of Planet Ocean’s existing GIS systems will now be able to migrate across to the OceanWise Port-Log platform. OceanWise Port-Log platform is widely used in the UK and overseas, giving the user not only the ability to store environmental monitoring data securely and publish or share it quickly and effortlessly, but will now benefit from Planet Ocean’s capability in representing most of the world’s leading scientific instrument manufacturers that supply a range of data buoy systems and the RADAC wave radar telemetry. Terry Sloane, Planet Ocean MD commented "This partnership provides users of Planet Ocean systems using telemetry with a first-class backbone providing the flexibility to accept data from a growing range of sensors and telemetry channels, whilst also providing quality control and high levels of support and service".
