NOAA seeks a Hydrologist in Charge for the National Weather Service Western Region in Sacramento, California. Payment of relocation expenses is authorized. The travel requirements are 25 percent or greater, domestic.

As a Hydrologist in Charge, you will be performing the following duties:

• Determine service needs, develop and direct the hydrologic programs of River Forecast Centers (RFCs) within the Western Region.
• Assist in the implementation of the National Water Center (NWC) and its interaction with the RFCs.
• Coordinate, collaborate and partner with other agencies (Federal, State and Local), private sector and academic institutions to improve provision of hydrologic services.
• Responsible for overall resource management of Center to include human and financial resources.
