Ocean Career: CorPower Ocean Technical Project Owner—Wave Energy

Role

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Leader with experience in leading complex engineering projects to lead and drive our Floating Collection Hub project, working together with experts in the field in Sweden and Portugal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive our hub project through all phases—such as design, manufacturing, installation, certification, and safety.
  • Lead the program management, timeline, budget and resourcing for the project.
  • Lead system design to concept level. (naval architecture, structural, mooring, electrical equipment, cable management)
  • Produce documentation for manufacturing, installation, certification, compliance, regulations.
  • Oversee Electrical architecture design, considering CorPack specifications.
  • Analyze the stability and motion in the ocean environment by simulation. (Orcaflex or equivalent)
  • Oversee the layout design and installation, considering relevant codes and standards.
  • Support realization of the electrical diagrams in CAD.
  • Coordinate the protectability studies of the installations, considering the grid code in force for the installation.
  • Define the equipment (protection relay, means of communication, etc.)
  • Oversee protection tests and commissioning on site.
  • Oversee protection relays configuration (multi-brands)
  • The job will require being able to travel to our installation sites.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in leading complex industrial projects.
  • Proven experience will matter more than your degree.
  • Our dream candidate will have manufactured, installed, commissioned, documented Substations and/or offshore structures.
  • Experience in electrical substation or offshore structure design is meriting.
  • You understand Standards concerning Substations.
  • You like to troubleshoot and test your own solutions.
