THE OPPORTUNITY:

SEAMOR’s expanding and we’re seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our Halifax office. You will be instrumental in driving international business growth, building global relationships, and promoting SEAMOR’s innovative ROV solutions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and create new qualified business opportunities
  • Generate business leads and develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads
  • Conduct market research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders globally
  • Diagnose prospects’ business challenges and needs & develop a value proposal to positively impact their business
  • Actively engage with prospects through international communication channels, including cold calling, emails, and video conferences
  • Present SEAMOR’s ROV products and services to potential international clients, effectively communicating their value proposition
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from prospecting to the international sales process
  • Provide regular reports on international sales activities, progress, and challenges.
  • Meet and exceed metrics and targets

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in international business development or sales, preferably in the marine or technology sector.
  • Resourceful and curious individual with a high level of initiative.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Resilience, perseverance, and an ability to overcome objections
  • Knowledge of international business practices and cultural nuances.
  • Exceptional phone, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and persistent approach to achieving international sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Strong organization skills, time-management, and adaptability.
  • High level business integrity and ethics.
  • Able and willing to travel internationally (approximately 25% of the time); valid passport.
