Ocean Career: Sulmara Project Surveyor—Houston

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned project through its entire lifecycle, from award and acceptance of project material at the bid stage to planning, execution, completion and close-out
  • Identify and drive opportunities for innovation and autonomy in offshore survey with respect to tenders and all project phases
  • Identify and mitigate potential QHSE, technical and commercial risks for assigned projects
  • Understand and implement solutions that will strengthen client relationships and monitor client performance against stipulated KPI’s, ensuring feedback is implemented in future work
  • Be responsible for and monitor project execution and provide support to offshore teams during ongoing challenges and any project or contractual variations that may arise
  • Develop project procedures and quality plans in alignment with Sulmara’s processes
  • Attend onshore calibrations and liaise with third party service providers
  • Undertake project briefings / debriefings during periods of mob / demobilization with key survey personnel / other project personnel
  • Carry out site and client visits were required

Qualifications / Experience

  • University degree in Survey / Geomatics or Hydrography or equivalent, or relevant industry experience
  • Extensive field survey experience related to offshore survey
  • Considerable experience as a Party Chief or similar operative discipline
  • Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Must have a good technical understanding of offshore survey—both online and offline
